Cai Chen : Lauréat de l’Académie royale des Sciences d’Outre-Mer (2026)
Cai Chen, recipient of the MSH Seed-Money grant (2022–2023), wins the 2026 annual competition of the Royal Academy for Overseas Sciences (ARSOM)
The doctoral research of Cai Chen (member of EASt and STRIGES, doctoral assistant at LAMC, ULB), entitled “Boundary Bricoleurs: Sino-Congolese Couples Navigating Intimacy and Difference in Postcolonial Congo” (supervised by Asuncion Fresnoza-Flot), has been awarded the 2026 Humanities Prize by the Royal Academy for Overseas Sciences (ARSOM) as part of its annual competition.
The award ceremony will take place during the Opening Academic Session 2026–2027 on October 15, 2026, at the Palace of the Academies in Brussels.
Cai Chen notably benefited from the Seed-Money grant (2022–2023) of the ULB Maison des Sciences humaines.
