A call for proposal is issued for a symposium entitled "Pillarised once, pillarised for ever? Multidisciplinary approach of socio-political cleavages in Belgium (XIX – XXIth century)".

The aim of this symposium is to bring a new and empirical perspective on (de)pillarisation with an emphasis on sociohistorical and field studies. The symposium will take place on 12th and 13th of October 2017 at the Centre d’Etude des Religions et de la Laïcité (CIERL) at the ULB (Brussels). It will be followed by a publication.

The proposals (in French or English) shall be accompanied by the following information: first name and surname, status, home university, title of the proposed paper and a 500 words abstract. These propositions must be addressed by mail in PDF format to both lynn.bruyere@ulb.ac.be and as.crosetti@gmail.com by June 1st at the latest.
