Robin Lefere
Robin Lefere, PhD in Philosophy and Letters from the Université libre de Bruxelles (1991) and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1995), holds the Chair of Hispanic Literature. He is the author or editor of around a dozen books on these topics, as well as on issues in comparative literature (particularly imagological relations between France and Spain).
He has published extensively on the work of J. L. Borges, including numerous articles and three books: Borges y los poderes de la literatura (Peter Lang, 1998), Borges en Bruselas (Visor, 2000), and Borges, entre autorretrato y automitografía (Gredos, 2005).
His most recent works include Nuevas perspectivas sobre la transnacionalidad del cine hispánico (with N. Lie; Brill & Rodopi, 2016), Perspectivas sobre el futuro de la narrativa hispánica: ensayos y testimonios (with Fernando Díaz Ruiz and Lidia Morales Benito; Cuadernos de América sin nombre, 2020), and Abel Sánchez. L’Autre, by M. de Unamuno, presented, translated, and adapted by Robin Lefere (Éditions de l’Université de Bruxelles, Metaphrasis collection, 2023).
