Lidia Morales Benito

Lidia Morales Benito holds degrees in Hispanic Philology and French Philology from the University of Salamanca (USal), Spain. In 2019, she obtained an International PhD following the defense of her dissertation entitled “Nuevas perspectivas sobre lo lúdico en Guillermo Cabrera Infante: ‘Patafísica, OuLiPo y el tablero anticastrista”, carried out under joint supervision between the University of Salamanca and the Université libre de Bruxelles. She was a teaching assistant at ULB from 2013 to 2019 and is currently a postdoctoral researcher there.

She has published around twenty research articles in the fields of Hispanic playful literatures, Franco-Hispanic comparative literature, and hybrid poetics. In addition, she has co-edited five volumes on contemporary Hispanic literatures. She also published the book El arte del funámbulo. Juego, ‘Patafísica y OuLiPo, aproximaciones teóricas y equilibrismos literarios (Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla, 2021), and in 2022, La Habana textual: 'Patafísica y OuLiPo en la obra de Guillermo Cabrera Infante (Peter Lang).
