Fayrouz Yousfi

Fayrouz Yousfi is a political scientist specializing in social inequalities, labor, and rural transformations in North Africa. Her research lies at the intersection of feminist political economy, rural studies, and postcolonial studies, with a particular focus on feminized and precarious forms of labor in the agricultural export sector. Based on long-term ethnographic fieldwork in Morocco, as well as collaborations with unions and activist groups, she analyzes how colonial legacies, development policies, and neoliberal reforms are reshaping labor, social reproduction, and social movements.
