Fabrice Langrognet is a historian of migration and asylum. His current research focuses on border systems, dynamics of socio-cultural identification, the participation of migrants in the production of norms, as well as issues related to housing, gender, age, and climate change.

His first book was published in English in 2022 and then in French in 2023 under the title Voisins de passage. In 2024, the French edition received the Grand Prix of the Rendez-Vous de l’Histoire de Blois.
