Christophe Delaere

Christophe Delaere has a PhD in Archaeology from the Université libre de Bruxelles. Dedicating his research to Andean and inland water archaeology, he leads since 2012 an underwater archaeological excavation project at Lake Titicaca and in the high-altitude lakes of the central Andes (Peru, Bolivia). His research interests include ancient complex societies, the interaction between humans and the environment, and the development of geoarchaeological methods applied to inundate landscapes, in particular in lake and river contexts.
