Christian Olsson
Christian Olsson is a Professor of International Relations at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). He is the director of the REPI research center (Research and Studies in International Politics) and a member of CREG (Centre for Research on the Experience of War).
His research interests focus primarily on armed conflicts and military interventions, particularly in the Greater Middle East, the historical sociology of security practices, and the role of private military companies in recent military interventions, especially in Afghanistan and Iraq, where he has conducted field research. He is currently working on the internationalization of non-state armed groups.
He has recently published in Critical Military Studies, Millennium, Cultures & Conflits, and Partecipazione e Conflitto.
