Amadeo Vandenheede

Amadeo Vandenheede is a PhD student in political and social sciences at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, ULB. He benefits from a double institutional affiliation, being linked both to the Centre d’étude de la vie politique (Cevipol) and the Centre d’étude sur les Amériques (AmericaS). Graduated in International Relations - with a specialisation in Security, Peace and Conflict - he completed his master's degree with a dissertation on the evaluation of the Pacifying Police Units (UPP) by the favelas population of Rio de Janeiro. His current research focuses on the political, social and economic implications of globalized drug trafficking.
