Collection Routledge

A key achievement of EASt’s proliferation as a research entity was the creation in 2018 of the book series “Routledge Contemporary Asian Societies that aims at providing an original and distinctive contribution to current debates on evolutions shaping societies, cultures, politics and media across Northeast and Southeast Asia. This series allows EASt to offer an original take on inter-disciplinarity; reach new audiences, both with regards to possible authors as well as readers; enjoy a uniquely supportive institutional environment; and profit from its timeliness.

Currently, EASt’s Routledge Collection consists of six books: four edited volumes and two monographs, including EASt members and external collaborators. Another edited volume is in preparation for 2025, edited by Flora Lichaa, Ma Ran and Nakajima Seio, tentatively titled Contemporary Chinese Art Cinema.

External contributors are welcome to submit their proposals to the series directors Vanessa Frangville (vanessa.frangville@ulb.be) and Frederik Ponjaert (frederik.ponjaert@ulb.be).
