Quintus Immisch di Padua

Quintus Immisch di Padua studied at the universities of Tübingen, Rome (La Sapienza), and Paris (Sorbonne), where he obtained degrees in German, Italian, and Latin literature as well as in literary and cultural theory. In 2024, he completed a doctorate in German and Comparative Literature at the universities of Tübingen and Aix-Marseille. His dissertation developed a systematic approach to a literary and cultural history of nudity from the eighteenth to the twentieth century. This work was awarded the Doctoral Prize of the University of Tübingen and the Dissertation Prize of Aix-Marseille Université.


Within MODERNITAS, he is a postdoctoral researcher in the PDR project Belgium “read” in German and Czech. His research interests also include the history of the body, forms of living-together and idiorrhythmy, sexuality and queer studies, as well as the reception of antiquity.
