Mathias Van Ranst
Mathias Van Ranst is pursuing a Master's degree in Art History and Archaeology, as well as Oriental Languages and Literature with a specialization in Advanced Chinese, both at the Free University of Brussels (ULB). He is currently studying medieval tombs in Shandong 山东 under the Northern Wei dynasty 北魏.
He is also a research assistant to Vanessa Frangville and participates in the Altergraphy project led by Lia Wei. Since 2024, he has participated in various archaeological projects.
He is also very involved in student associations, including student offices (BEPSS, BELTC, and BEA), circles (CHAA and ACE), and student delegations.
