Mathias Van Ranst
Mathias Van Ranst is pursuing a Master's degree in Art History and Archaeology, as well as Oriental Languages and Literature with a specialization in Advanced Chinese, both at the Free University of Brussels (ULB). He is researching Chinese archaeology, focusing on both material culture and the exchange of knowledge between China and other countries.
He is also a research assistant to Vanessa Frangville. Since 2024, he has participated in various archaeological archaeological excavations in Belgium and abroad.
He is also very involved in student associations, including student offices (BEPSS, BELTC, and BEA), circles (CHAA and ACE), and student delegations. This engagement was recognized with the Solène Zahedi Award in May 2026.
