International workshop focused on mediators between Belgium and Central Europe with the aim to examine the transfer of Belgian modernism (1870-1940) and to explore current concepts of cultural theory from a historical perspective.

The first workshop organized in the frame of the PDR Project "La Belgique 'lue' en tchèque et en allemand", intends to develop a preliminary discussion about Belgium in a a triangular interpolation which includes Czech and German-speaking cultural contexts,bringing together researchers from different European universities and institutions.
