A live recording of one of the episodes of the podcast Přepište dějiny with Martin Groman and Michal Stehlík, this time devoted to the phenomenon of the Baťa shoe company and its global presence.
Baťa represents one of the best-known Czech brands, which developed from a small shoemaking workshop in Zlín, in Southeastern Moravia, into a global phenomenon within just a few decades. Its expansion, beginning at the turn of the 1920s and 1930s, not only transformed the world of commerce but also had a significant impact on everyday life and culture in various parts of the world.
The event is held on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Tomáš Baťa’s birth and offers a broader perspective on the theme of Baťa’s global expansion.
Wednesday 13 Mai 2026, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm
Prague House in Brussels
Avenue Palmerston 16,
