Conférence “Migration decision-making in Asia-Europe social spaces”

From 11/12 to 12/12/2025

In collaboration with AspirE

It is a pleasure to share more information about the final conference of the AspirE project titled “Migration decision-making in Asia-Europe social spaces”, which will take place on 11-12 December at Usquare.

Led by Asuncion Fresnoza-Flot, AspirE has worked to humanise the study of migration between Asia and Europe over the past years, combining video diaries, in-depth interviews, and collaborative methods to gain fresh insights into the aspirations and lived experiences of migrants. The final conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and community voices to reflect on our findings, discuss their broader implications, and explore future directions. The programme will feature:

Presentations of AspirE’s research outcomes
Roundtable discussions with our sister projects
An exhibition showcasing materials collected during the project
Short documentaries produced by local teams based in Thailand and Portugal
Opportunities for dialogue and networking

We warmly welcome your participation in this event and look forward to engaging in fruitful discussions on migration, aspirations, and policy.

Spots onsite are limited, so we encourage you to register as early as possible.
