Vincent Chapaux

Scientific coordination

Vincent Chapaux holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and specialized Master in International Law (ULB). He was a post-doctoral Research Fellow at the New York University School of Law (Fulbright Grant 2012) and at the Université du Québec à Montréal (FRQNT Grant 2013).

Before joining the MSH-ULB, Vincent has been a lecturer at the Université libre de Bruxelles (2014 -2016), at the Institut supérieur de traducteurs et interprètes de Bruxelles (2015-2016) and at the University of Ottawa (2016).

His current research focuses on the way international legal norms are (re)structuring the relations between human and non-human animals particularly at the international level (International Animal Law).

He is currently involved in a A.N.R. Research Projetc (Fr) entitled: "Ruling on Nature Animals and the Environment before the Court" (2020-2024).
