Paul-David Lutz

Paul-David Lutz is an anthropologist and (former) rural development advisor with a longstanding focus on northern Laos. He holds a PhD in anthropology from the University of Sydney, Australia and an MA in Intercultural Education from the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. He has published on the intergenerational aspects of agrarian change, socio-cosmological aspects of resource-riven development, intra-upland interethnic dynamics, oral history and Chinese power in northern Laos, as well as on social(ist) media in Laos . Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratoire d'Anthropologie des Mondes Contemporains (LAMC) investigating dynamics of agri-cultural change related to wet-rice cultivation in Luang Prabang Province, Laos.
