Amphone Vongsouphanh

Amphone is deputy head of Gender Studies Center, Researcher, and Lecturer of NUOL. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate at ULB.

He is an expert in community dialogue & movement, community organizing, and social protection analysis. His research focuses on Child Early and Forced Marriage and Cooperative systems in Laos (Self-Help Groups, Production Group, and Cooperative). He has about 12-year of experience in research and lecture at the National University of Laos (NUOL) and research collaboration with national and international development agencies. With his expertise, he has also been a research project consultancy for several international organizations such as ACIAR (small-scale agricultural development) and Plans International Laos (child early marriage). His recent publication books are (as a collaborator with Pierre Petit) “History, Memory, and Territorial Cults in the Highlands of Laos: the past inside the present” published by Routledge; and Social Protection and Social Safeguards published by Thongsangnang Printing Limited, Laos.
