En collaboration avec Americas-ReSIC
From the decade of the 2000, the Memory, Truth and Justice policies about the last civic-military dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1983) opened to public consult the documentary collection produced by the state’s organisms that took part in the represión during that period. The represión archive’s studies have expanded the knowledge in diverse fields like history, antropology and sociology. From a interdisciplinary point of view, discourse analyse has contributed to relating the linguistic materials of this archive with their social production logics. This communication presents the current state of the discursive studies about represión archives, both in dictatorial and democratic periods, the main results and the research directions taking course.
Facundo Romero holds a degree in Social communication and a master's in Discourse analysis. He is currently a PhD student at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and his scholarship is funded by CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas). He specializes in media, political and surveillance discourse. He is a teaching assistant in Semiology and semiotics at UBA and Universidad Nacional de Lanús (UNLa).
