Simeng Wang is a Permanent Research Fellow in Sociology at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). She obtained her PhD Degree from the École Normale Supérieure in Paris (2014). Her research fields include overseas Chinese; Southeast and East Asian migration in France; health and mental health; and race and ethnicity studies. Her scientific publications include Chinese immigrants in Europe: image, identity and social participation (Walter de Gruyter GmbH, 2020), and Chinese migrants in Paris: the narratives of illusion and suffering (Brill, 2021). Currently, she is leading, among others, the MigraChiCovid project, which focuses on the Chinese diaspora in France in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
