Barbora Zlejšia graduated in Editing and Publishing at the Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (2020). She completed her PhD in Slovak Literature at the Institute of Slovak Literature, Slovak Academy of Sciences (2025). Her dissertation, The Lyrical Prose of Štefan Krčméry, focused on theoretical questions of the hybrid genre, particularly the problem of subjectivity in the context of a modernist author.
She is currently a researcher at the Institute of Slovak Literature, Slovak Academy of Sciences, working in the Department of Textology and Digital Projects. She also serves as an editor of the scholarly journal Slovenská literatúra.Since 2024, she has been pursuing a degree in Psychology at the Pan-European University in Bratislava.
Her research interests include the application of textual genetics and cognitive literary approaches to the study of writing processes and the reception of literary variants.
