Gil Hizi, anthropologist specializing in contemporary Chinese society, will present his ethnographic work on talk clubs in the city of Jinan, China. He will analyze the experience of negative affects of young participants trying to adopt an entrepreneurial ethos. The presentation will echo the research themes of the ARC GENsYs project - youth and public spaces in East Asia.
