Au bénéfice d’une première formations en soins infirmiers, Nolwenn Bühler est docteure en anthropologie, spécialiste des questions de biomédecine et de santé publique, ainsi qu’en études genre. Elle travaille comme chercheuse senior à l’Université de Lausanne et est responsable de recherche à Unisanté, Centre Universitaire de Médecine Générale et Santé Publique à Lausanne. Ses recherches portent sur les reconfigurations contemporaines de la recherche en santé publique, les inégalités en matière de santé et les notions d’exposition environnementale et virale, dans le cadre de trois projets : Development of Personalized Health in Switzerland: Social Sciences Perspectives (SNSF-Sinergia); SociocoViD - Daily life experiences of Covid-19: an ethnographic exploration of viral exposure, protective practices and the making of vulnerabilities through the lens of living conditions in Canton de Vaud (SNSF-NRP78); et ChemoAgro : Exploring knowledge, practices and meanings of exposure in the development of a Swiss based “precision public health” study. Elle est l’auteure de When Reproduction Meets Aging: The Science and Medicine of the Fertility Decline (Emerald 2021) et a publié dans des revues internationales telles que Reproductive Biomedicine and Society, BioSocieties, ou encore Tecnoscienza: Italian Journal of Science and Technology.
