Graduated from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic (1990 Russian and Slovak languages and literature; 1993 English language and literature); 1997 PhD. in theory and history of Slovak literature at Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic; 1997 - 2006 and 2012 - present: Department of Slovak Literature and Literary Studies Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic: courses in modern Slovak literature (1900 - 1948), theory of drama; 2001 - 2004 and 2012 - present: chair of the department; 2021 - present: supervisor of the program in Central European Studies; 2006 - 2012 Slovak lector at Bologna University, Italy; research stays in Great Britain and the USA; research focuses on 20th century Slovak prose and drama, as well as avant-gardes in Slovak literature.
