Thesis title: The Poison of War. Analysis of the knowledge production on Agent Orange related damages in Vietnam and the United States between 1985 and 2016

Anne Xuan Nguyen is currently a PhD candidate in International Relations at REPI/TRIPS, Université Libre de Bruxelles as well as an FNRS Aspirant scholarship recipient. She holds a BA in Political Science with Social and Historical sciences from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. After completing a year of internships at the World Health Organisations and at the Swiss Mission to NATO, she stayed in Brussels to complete her MA in International Relations with Security, Peace and Conflicts at the ULB. Her works focus on armament policies and long-term outcomes of warfare in Southeast Asia. Her thesis – The poison of war, tackles the controversy around the contemporary sanitary and environmental consequences of herbicide warfare during the Vietnam War. She also takes interest in the construction of victimhood, post-conflict memory, as well as the narratives of wars in literature, cinema and video games.
